206. How to… kick back and relax.

One of the biggest things some of us need to learn when it comes to Second Life is how to take a deep breath. How to use that little X, or the block button when we need it. We build relationships here with other people, we build new and exciting things to play with… and sometimes, that can be stressful. Let’s be honest: if this were just a game, some of us would have been bored to tears long ago and moved on to bigger and better things. But it’s not. In so many ways it’s not. Which means that even (and sometimes especially) when dealing with Second Life, self care is important. It really is, guys.

So, when you need it, take yourself an SL vacation. Turn on your away message. Tell your friends that you’re taking a day and whatever it is, you don’t want to hear it. If you’ve got the right people in your life, they’ll understand… because it’s likely they have to do the same thing from time to time.

Hakuna matata, y’all.
