72. How to… make some (new) memories.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately, as I’m sure some of you know if you’ve been following along with this train-wreck that is an amalgamation of blog and life. I started this blog because I’ve been some places and got a few t-shirts that I’d rather throw into the burn pile, and I wanted to share some of those life lessons with everyone. Some cross the boundaries between our virtual world and the real one, and the reason for that is simple enough:

No matter what we do here in Second Life, we’re still people behind our avatars. We control every aspect of their day much like we control what we do in real life. We dress them, we choose who we interact with and how we interact with them, we work, we play, we laugh, we cry sometimes. Every day, we do something new and fun and amazing, and every day is another memory made for our memory bank.

The point being? Think and act with purpose. Meet people and show them how wonderful you are. Not all of our memories are going to be good ones, but you have an opportunity to make new memories every single day – in both worlds – and you should grab onto that opportunity with both hands and hold on tight. It’s a wild ride sometimes, but it’s worth it.
